About rBIO
Building the future of scalable peptide manufacturing.
rBIO is a biotech manufacturing platform company developing a proprietary process to improve the production economics of essential peptide drugs.
Our story
Founded to address a critical challenge in medicine.
Essential drugs remain too expensive, supply-constrained, and difficult to scale because manufacturing is complex and concentrated.
The company began with insulin, one of the world’s most widely used peptide drugs.
Today, under the leadership of Dr. Deen Bakthavatsalam, CEO and co-founder, rBIO is advancing its proprietary manufacturing process toward commercial-scale readiness and licensing.
Cameron Owen, co-founder, established rBIO’s original business plan and early development path.
Our mission
